Russian underwater hunter stabs friend to death after mistaking him for a big fish

A hunter in central Russia killed his friend while fishing at night.

According to RT, an experienced fish hunter living in a village in the Ryazan region, Russia, on July 9 took his 27-year-old friend from Moscow to hunt for fish underwater at night.This is a way of hunting fish using special equipment such as spear guns to stab fish or other aquatic animals.

However, since they were hunting at night, the said hunter skeet-shot his friend thinking he was a catfish.His friend died instantly from his severe injuries.

"While in the water, a local resident skewered a Muscovite thinking he was a catfish. The victim died at the scene from his injuries," the local investigative committee said.
