(Baonghean.vn) - Due to the influence of storm No. 2, provinces from Thanh Hoa to Nghe An continue to have heavy to very heavy rain.


STORM NEWS ON LAND (STORM NO. 2):
At about 4:30-5:00 a.m. on July 4, storm No. 2 made landfall in the provinces from Hai Phong to Nam Dinh.
Due to the impact of storm No. 2, in Cat Hai and Hon Dau (Hai Phong), strong winds of level 8-9, gusting to level 11, have been observed. In the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Nghe An, there continues to be heavy to very heavy rain.
At 5:00 a.m. on July 4, the center of the storm was at about 20.6 degrees North latitude; 106.5 degrees East longitude, right on the mainland of Hai Phong-Nam Dinh provinces. The strongest wind near the center of the storm was level 8 (50-75 km/h), gusting to level 11. The radius of strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 8 or higher was about 100 km from the center of the storm.
In the next 24 hours, the storm will move in the West-Northwest direction, traveling 10-15km per hour, going deep into the mainland of the Northeastern provinces and gradually weakening into a tropical depression, then the tropical depression will continue to weaken into a low pressure area in the midland and mountainous areas of the North.
In the Gulf of Tonkin (including the island districts of Bach Long Vi, Co To, Cat Hai, Van Don) early this morning, there are still strong winds of level 6-7, near the storm center level 8, gusting to level 11. The sea is very rough.
On land, provinces from Quang Ninh to Thanh Hoa have strong winds of level 6-7, areas near the storm's eye have strong winds of level 7-8, gusting to level 10.
Storm disaster risk level: level 3.
Rain forecast:
Today (July 4), in Thanh Hoa and the Northwest region of Nghe An, there will be very heavy rain (common rainfall 40-80mm/12 hours, in some places over 100mm/12 hours); from tonight, the rain will decrease.
During today and tonight, in Hoa Binh, Son La provinces, the Northern Delta and the Northeast regions, there will be heavy to very heavy rain (common rainfall 50-150mm/24 hours, some places over 150mm/24 hours); the mountainous regions of the North will have heavy rain (common rainfall 50-100mm/24 hours, some places over 150mm/24 hours).
Hanoi area: Moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms. Thunderstorms have strong gusts of wind.
