The first session of the 14th National Assembly has ended successfully with the key task of reviewing and deciding on the organizational structure, electing and approving senior personnel of state agencies.

The opening session of a new term, although only taking place for 8 working days (from July 20-29), has a very decisive meaning for the upcoming development stage of the country, because personnel work is the "key of keys", especially when it comes to electing and approving high-ranking leaders.

Voters believe that, because ininauguration promise, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan affirmed that she will work with National Assembly deputies to make our National Assembly truly a united, creative and active National Assembly for the benefit of the people, for the honor and pride of the nation, and for the sustainable development of the country.

That spirit is partly demonstrated, even in a very short period of time, through the fact that each delegate and the National Assembly collectively frankly accept responsibility before the people for shortcomings in legislation such as errors in the Penal Code, lack of uniformity and low feasibility of some regulations, in deciding on budget issues and formalities in supervision activities at all levels.

As head of state –President Tran Dai QuangHe also promised to do his utmost to serve the Fatherland and the people; to comprehensively and synchronously promote the renovation process; to proactively integrate, to build our country increasingly rich and strong, and to enhance Vietnam's position and prestige in the international arena.

In response to voters' and people's concerns about protecting the integrity of territorial sovereignty, as the commander of the armed forces, the President pledged to take care of building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and gradually modernized people's armed forces, firmly protecting the independence, sovereignty, unity, and sacred territorial integrity of the Fatherland, national interests and security, maintaining political and social stability, and creating a peaceful environment for national development.

That message was partly reflected when, three days after taking the oath, the head of government presented a report on the socio-economic situation in aface the truth, such as public debt and bad debt, were assessed by National Assembly delegates as "the first time such official information was received from the Government".

Looking straight at the truth, telling the truth, demonstrating the Government's mettle and transparency. This is the premise for determination and solutions that can substantially solve the problems facing the country's economy.

The Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court - who undertakes the responsibility assigned by the National Assembly as the head of the judicial body, exercising the judicial power of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam - also made a commitment to build a people's court.clean and honest.

With the promise to take care of building a team of judges who are good at their profession, well-versed in the law, impartial and courageous to make judgments on behalf of the State that uphold the law, are strict and fair, the people believe that the spirit of the 2013 Constitution to protect human rights and civil rights will be implemented and spread further.

National Assembly deputies, voters and people believe that leaders keep their promises, always keep in mind the sacred oath, and are determined to turn promises into actions to serve the Fatherland, serve the people, and continue to develop the country.
