VThe Government Office has just issued Notice No. 624/VPCP-KGVX, stating the directive of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam regarding the standardization of foreign-language names for universities in accordance with international practice.

Accordingly, the Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Education and Training to take the lead and coordinate with relevant ministries, agencies, and localities to review and assess the current situation regarding the naming of universities in the country.

At the same time, a proposal for a foreign-language name should be submitted to the Prime Minister for consideration in the first quarter of 2014 before issuing a directive guiding schools to uniformly implement it.
