Open D4 road at 'bottleneck' section through Nghi Thiet commune, Nghi Loc

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 9, the 900-meter "bottleneck" section of D4 road leading to the Vissai Cement Grinding Station and Seaport, through Moi hamlet, Nghi Thiet commune, Nghi Loc district (Nghe An) was cleared to widen the road surface by at least 8.5 meters in accordance with the direction of the Provincial People's Committee.

The site clearance of this road section affected 15 households. Recently, the People's Committee of Nghi Loc district and Nghi Thiet commune have coordinated with the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone to actively propagate and mobilize affected households to receive compensation, receive resettlement land and hand over the land for phase I of road expansion.

The contractor mobilized vehicles to support people in clearing trees and handing over land to expand D4 road.

However, as of June 4, on the D4 route that needs to be expanded, there are still 6 households that have not strictly complied with the State's policies and guidelines. To ensure the route is opened before June 10 as directed by the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, the Nghi Loc District People's Committee issued a notice to these households to urgently sign the application, receive money and hand over the site; at the same time, it propagates and mobilizes people to comply with the State's policies.

Nghi Thiet commune's mass organizations help households move construction materials out of the construction area.

The households have agreed to remove the surrounding walls, ancillary structures, trees, and hand over the land to widen the road, ensuring a minimum of 8.5 meters. To date, the first phase of land clearance has been completed. Nghi Loc District People's Committee has handed over to the contractor, Tan Nam Joint Stock Company, to carry out the road widening construction before June 10 to serve the transportation of equipment and machinery for the construction of the Cement Grinding Station.
