(Baonghean)The inter-block road in Long Son ward, with a surface width of just over 3 meters, is rough and difficult to navigate. However, it is a crucial transportation route running almost the entire length of Block 7 in Long Son ward, connecting it to Nghia Hoa commune. Upgrading this road is an essential and urgent requirement, contributing to the socio-economic development of this disadvantaged residential area in Thai Hoa town.

Upgrading the road is not simply about "smoothing" the surface; widening the road is of paramount importance. However, widening the road means mobilizing land (mostly garden land and farmland belonging to the people). Without the people's consent, construction of the road is difficult. Recognizing this situation, when the plan to construct this important road was announced, the local government focused heavily on propaganda and persuasion efforts to help people understand the significance of having a smoother, wider road. Surprisingly, in a very short time, all residents of Block 7 happily donated 2,500 square meters of land.2The land was cleared, without demanding compensation for many assets on the land, in order to open up the route and build the road.

Block 7, Long Son Ward, has 54 households, all of whom are ethnic Thai people. The people's lives mainly depend on agricultural production, and they still face many difficulties. In recent years, the people's investment of resources for upgrading and repairing roads has been minimal. Therefore, the groundbreaking ceremony for the road upgrade was a celebration for the residents. Everyone, young and old, men and women in the block, were present to clear the land and hand it over to the construction unit.

According to the design, the 2.3 km long road will be divided into two construction phases. Phase 1 will construct 1.2 km with a total construction value of approximately 4.8 billion VND, funded by the town's budget with support from the province. The construction unit is Dung Nam Investment and Consulting Joint Stock Company, and it is expected to be completed 3 months after the commencement date.

So, this November, Long Son Ward, Thai Hoa Town, will have a new paved road. The project is particularly significant because, in addition to government investment, it has benefited greatly from the contributions of resources and labor from the residents of Block 7, Long Son Ward.
