Letter from the President of Vietnam to the Education sector on the occasion of the opening of the new school year.

President Truong Tan Sang sent a congratulatory letter to the education sector on the occasion of the opening of the new school year 2015-2016. Nghe An Newspaper respectfully presents the full text of the letter.

Dear teachers, educators, officials, staff in the education sector, parents, and students!

On the occasion of the opening of the new school year 2015-2016, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all generations of teachers, officials, civil servants in the education sector, and students throughout the country.

In the 2014-2015 academic year, with the support and assistance of all levels, sectors, and society as a whole, the education sector actively explored and implemented many solutions to innovate and improve the quality of education and training from preschool to university. Thanks to the dedicated efforts and commitment of the teachers, staff, and officials in the sector, and the enthusiastic learning of the students, the quality of education at all levels and training programs was maintained and improved; the teams participating in regional and international Olympiads continued to achieve outstanding results...

I acknowledge and commend the efforts, endeavors, and achievements of the education sector during the past academic year.

For the 2015-2016 school year, the education sector needs to continue promoting the "good teaching, good learning" emulation movement and effectively implement the tasks set out in Resolution 29-NQ/TW of the 8th Central Committee Conference (11th term) on fundamental and comprehensive reform of education and training. Careful research and thorough preparation are necessary, along with attentive listening to and incorporating feedback and suggestions from the public, teachers, education administrators, and parents, to ensure that the proposed measures achieve high results and create social consensus. Active preparation is also needed to effectively implement Resolution No. 88/2014/QH13 dated November 28, 2014, of the National Assembly on reforming the curriculum and textbooks for general education. On this occasion, I urge Party committees, government agencies, mass organizations, families, and society at large to continue paying more attention and coordinating closely with the education sector to create the best possible conditions for our children's learning, training, and development.

Dear teachers!

Despite facing numerous difficulties, teachers, especially those in remote areas, border regions, and islands, have overcome all obstacles, dedicating themselves wholeheartedly to the cause of education and training, making silent but immense contributions to the country. I hope that teachers will continue to strive and make even more contributions to the noble and glorious cause of "nurturing future generations."

Dear students!

You are the future masters of the country, the successors to the cause of building and protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland. I hope you will continue to uphold our nation's tradition of studiousness, follow the example of previous generations, strive to study well and train well so that in the future you can establish yourselves, build careers, and contribute to bringing our country to stand shoulder to shoulder with friends around the world.

Wishing all teachers, educators, staff, and students in the education sector, and all students, many outstanding achievements in the new academic year 2015-2016.
