Authorities seized hundreds of banned children's toys.
Authorities in Thanh Vinh ward inspected a children's toy store on Nguyen Thai Hoc street and discovered many prohibited products such as plastic guns, swords, and axes simulating dangerous weapons. More than 140 infringing toys were confiscated, and the store was issued a citation for legal action.
At approximately 9:15 AM on September 24th, the Thanh Vinh Ward Police, in coordination with the Thanh Vinh Ward inter-agency team, conducted an inspection of business operations at a children's toy store on Nguyen Thai Hoc Street (Block 9, Thanh Vinh Ward).
During the inspection, authorities discovered that the establishment was storing and selling many types of dangerous toys prohibited from circulation on the market, such as plastic model guns with features and shapes similar to military weapons; plastic swords, hammers, axes, etc., which could endanger children and affect social order and safety. Authorities confiscated 40 toy guns of various lengths and shapes, and 108 plastic swords, knives, and axes of various types.
This behavior violates point d, clause 3, Article 11 of Decree No. 114/2021/ND-CP, and is also included in the list of goods prohibited from trading according to the law.
The inspection team drew up a record of administrative violations, sealed and temporarily seized all the dangerous toys mentioned above, demanded that the establishment immediately cease the violation, and reported the matter to the competent authority for handling according to regulations.
