Seized more than 5,000 bottles of 'floating' Korean cosmetics worth over 2 billion VND
Authorities have just discovered and seized 5,400 Korean cosmetic products of unknown origin, without valid invoices or documents, with an estimated value of over 2.1 billion VND.
Specifically, on May 31, Hanoi City Police coordinated with Market Management Team No. 8 of the Market Management Department to inspect a business location located in the premises of a kindergarten in Lai Hoang village, Yen Thuong commune, Gia Lam district. This location is managed by Ngan Korea Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Company Limited, headquartered in the same village.
Here, the authorities discovered 5,400 smuggled cosmetic products without valid invoices or documents. These included: 2,520 bottles of Dr. Melaxin Peel Shot exfoliant rice ampoule (80ml/bottle, made in Korea). 2,880 bottles of Dr. Melaxin Peel Shot exfoliant black rice ampoule (80ml/bottle, made in Korea). The total value of the infringing goods according to the listed price was more than 2.1 billion VND.

The company representative admitted that he had purchased all of the above goods from "floating" sources in the market, without accompanying valid invoices or documents. Notably, the business location where the violation was discovered had never been reported to the business registration authority.

A representative of the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic Crimes, Smuggling, and Environmental Crimes of Hanoi City Police said that the subjects in the case had sophisticated concealment actions, such as renting a location deep in a sparsely populated area, mixing smuggled goods with legal products to deceive the authorities.
