Seized warehouse of goods suspected of being smuggled from China
Thousands of cosmetics, food, household items, masks... worth billions of dong of unknown origin have just been seized on Phu Dinh street.
According toGeneral Department of Market ManagementOn August 31, the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department just raided a warehouse at No. 12, Phu Dinh Street (Ward 16, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City) with signs of large-scale smuggling. The warehouse owner, Mr. Phong Chi Hung, has not yet been arrested.business registrationas prescribed.

During the inspection, Mr. Hung's warehouse contained more than 7,530 products without invoices and documents, with original labels in foreign languages but without Vietnamese sub-labels as required. In addition, 141 products showed signs of counterfeiting trademarks protected in Vietnam, without invoices and documents. The total value of the shipment was more than 700 million VND.
Expanded testingcontainer truckand another warehouse located on the premises of the above address, Ho Chi Minh City market management discovered an additional 4,800 cosmetic products, phone components, children's toys and 80,000 masks originating from China. All of these goods were unregistered.invoices and documents, worth about 2.2 billion VND.
The market management agency has drawn up a record, sealed all of the above goods and handled them according to regulations.
