People's Artist Thu Ha was moved when she reunited with People's Artist Tra Giang on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Cinema.

People's Artist Thu Ha had an emotional reunion with People's Artist Tra Giang at the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Cinema (1953-2023) held at the Hanoi Opera House.

People's Artist Thu Ha happily reunited with People's Artist Tra Giang.

As soon as she saw People's Artist Tra Giang, People's Artist Thu Ha happily ran to hug the female artist. Sharing about this special reunion, People's Artist Thu Ha said:"Meeting her on this special occasion, not only me but also the artists were moved. She is a monument of Vietnamese cinema, an artist of the people."

Recalling memories with People's Artist Tra Giang, People's Artist Thu Ha said:"She loved me like a daughter. Since I was little, everyone kept saying I looked like Ms. Tra Giang. When I started pursuing art, I was lucky to have my first film role, playing with her in the movie "De Tham". Everyone commented that I was the "daughter" of People's Artist Tra Giang. Later, when I acted in other movies, the audience still mistook me for the daughter of People's Artist Tra Giang.

She is a wonderful person, sometimes texting and calling to ask about my health even though she is someone I rarely meet or interact with because she has her own passion which is painting. And artists often spend a lot of time in their studio.

I feel very proud to act with her, to receive her affection. I think, in the life of an artist, it is not always possible to meet such a person. She is an example for us, the next generation of artists, to strive to follow."

She was moved and hugged People's Artist Tra Giang.

On this anniversary, People's Artist Thu Ha also reminisced about the golden age of Vietnamese cinema: "On this anniversary, I recall the beautiful time I spent with revolutionary cinema. At that time, I, Le Khanh, Le Vy, Chieu Xuan,... were very honored to participate in many revolutionary films of the period such as Canh Bac, Hoa Ban Do, Hen Gap Lai Sai Gon, Anh Chi Co Minh Em... Like my peers, there were roles that I really wanted to play. I was lucky to play historical figures such as Quynh Hoa in Dem Hoi Long Tri. For an actor, that is a matter of great pride and honor."

Vietnamese Revolutionary Cinema marks a 70-year journey accompanying the nation’s history, reflecting truthfully and vividly the struggle to defend the Fatherland, the cause of building and developing the country. Emphasizing the role of revolutionary films at the present time, People’s Artist Thu Ha said:"Revolutionary films play an important role and cannot be confused with other film genres in Vietnamese cinema. They are still historical figures and patriotism, but now, they are portrayed by a new generation of young artists with a new perspective, carrying the breath of modern society. I think you have done a very good job with such films."
