Revoking the title of 3rd Runner-up of the 2022 Mrs. Vietnam Global pageant

The Organizing Committee of Mrs. Vietnam Global 2022 decided to revoke the title of 3rd Runner-up and the title ofMedia beautyby Ms. Dang Thi Huong.

According to the document, Ms. Huong violated the provisions of Clause 1, Section VII of the Project.Mrs. Vietnam Global2022; stipulated in Point a, Clause 1, Article 18 of Decree 144/2020/ND-CP regulating performing arts activities.

Specifically, after being crowned 3rd runner-up of Mrs. Vietnam Global 2022, Dang Thi Huong sent a complaint to the competent State agency, newspapers and radio stations about the Organizing Committee buying and selling the award. She also posted many contents criticizing the organizing committee of the contest on her personal page.

Upon discovering the incident, the Organizing Committee denied suspicions of prize-buying, sent repeated reminder letters, and met directly with Ms. Huong to find a way to resolve the matter. According to the Organizing Committee, Ms. Huong's actions had seriously affected the reputation of the competition and the company's business.

After the council meeting, the Organizing Committee unanimously decided to revoke all titles of Dang Thi Huong in the recent Mrs. Vietnam Global 2022 contest. The decision takes effect from August 8.

"We want to work with Ms. Huong to find a way to resolve the issue amicably for both parties, but Ms. Huong is not willing to cooperate. The fact that Ms. Huong persistently complains to the competent authorities, newspapers and radio stations, as well as continuously posts challenging and threatening words on social networks shows that her wrongdoings cannot be dissuaded, we have no choice but to revoke the title," said a representative of the Organizing Committee.

Responding to VietNamNet, Ms. Dang Thi Huong said that she is denouncing the violations of the Organizing Committee of Miss Vietnam Global 2022. "They have the right to revoke the title but must state the correct reason that this is an extra award, not because I made a false accusation that affected them," she said.

According to Ms. Huong, after receiving a complaint, the Organizing Committee of Mrs. Vietnam Global 2022 did not contact her in advance to make an appointment but came to her house without permission. She said: "At that time, I was not at home, their coming to my house without permission affected my children and neighbors. I have submitted a complaint to the local police about this."

Ms. Dang Thi Huong hopes that the Organizing Committee of Mrs. Vietnam Global 2022 will adjust the reason for revoking the title, and at the same time compensate for the damage to her honor and reputation that she has suffered over the past time.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tinh - Chief Inspector of the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang City - informed VietNamNet: "We worked with Ms. Dang Thi Huong on June 20. In the project sent to the People's Committee of Da Nang City for approval, the Organizing Committee of Mrs. Vietnam Global 2022 committed to resolving all disputes and denunciations related to the contest. Therefore, this incident will be resolved by the organizing committee and Ms. Huong themselves."
