The recall of 4,443 Suzuki Raider 150 motorbikes in Vietnam is being actively implemented. The cause of this recall is due to a magnetic lock error and Suzuki will replace the contact assembly in the main electric lock assembly for the above models.

It is known that the models subject to this recall are those manufactured and assembled domestically by Suzuki Vietnam between November 10, 2016 and August 1, 2017, branded Raider 150 Fi, with frame numbers (VIN) from RLSDL11ANGV 100001 to RLSDL11ANGV 100960; from RLSDL11ANHV 100961 to RLSDL11ANHV 103240; from RLSDL11ANHV 103244 to RLSDL11ANHV 104203 and from RLSDL11ANHV 104206 to RLSDL11ANHV 104542.

According to information from the Vietnam Register, during the production process of the contact assembly in the main electric lock assembly of the supplier in Indonesia, the welding catalyst remains on the contact surface, so when the temperature is generated during use. Therefore, the contact surface is poorly contacted, leading to the phenomenon of flickering of the main electric lock assembly.

"When the starter switch is turned on, the vehicle's electrical system sometimes loses power, causing the vehicle to not start; or while operating the vehicle, the engine will stall, causing danger during use," the Vietnam Register warned.

The recalled vehicles will be inspected and replaced free of charge at Suzuki Vietnam authorized dealers. The inspection and replacement is expected to take about 30 minutes.

Launched in the Vietnamese market since late 2013, the Raider 150 FI sporty underbone manual clutch motorcycle is currently assembled by Suzuki Vietnam and delivered to consumers with a selling price of 49 million VND (black/red or white/black) and 49.2 million VND (GP blue/black). Although it has been integrated with many technologies and design improvements, Raider is still far behind its competitors Yamaha Exciter and Honda Winner in terms of sales.

Meanwhile, 4,000 Kawasaki ZX-10R and ZX-10RR were also recalled due to transmission system failure.

It is known that the vehicles subject to this recall by Kawasaki are Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR manufactured from 2016 - 2018. The affected vehicle range is said to be manufactured from September 9, 2015 to December 13, 2017, with VIN numbers starting from JKAZXCR10GA000014 and ending with JKAZXCZ17JA003130. There are about 3,964 vehicles that are having problems with the transmission system.

Specifically, the transmission and transmission gears of these models can be damaged when colliding with each other at high speed. This will pose a risk of causing serious accidents.

According to the assessment, today's super motorcycles are designed to give the driver the ability to operate at the top of the pyramid, which requires the vehicle to have a powerful engine and a really good gearbox, capable of operating smoothly at high intensity without breaking apart during use, affecting the safety of the driver.

After recording two typical cases in the US market, Kawasaki quickly carried out a recall campaign to ensure user safety.

According to the announcement from this "muscle" car company, they have sent a notice to car owners as well as authorized dealers. Therefore, owners of the above models need to quickly bring their cars to the dealer to have the gearbox gears replaced for free.
