Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued Official Dispatch No. 153/CTr-UBND on the program to promote investment, trade and tourism in Nghe An province in 2024.

Accordingly, the programs are implemented with the aim of enhancing and promoting the effectiveness of advertising, promoting and introducing products, promoting the potential and strengths of Nghe An province; focusing on effectively implementing mechanisms and policies on calling for investment; creating a friendly investment environment to attract strategic investors.

Expand international cooperation relationships, develop production, improve product quality, promote the development of key industry chains of the province and tourism service products, industrial products (including typical rural industrial products), handicraft products, OCOP products, specialty products, other characteristics of the province...

The Provincial People's Committee requires that investment, trade and tourism promotion activities must be organized safely, effectively, with focus and key points, in a flexible manner to continue to maintain and consolidate traditional markets, while expanding new markets and partners in line with the viewpoint and orientation of attracting investment, developing trade and tourism associated with the socio-economic development goals of the province.

Effectively use funding from the central and local budgets in investment, trade and tourism promotion; Strengthen regional linkages, linkages with key economic and tourism localities (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang City, etc.) in investment, trade and tourism promotion activities to take advantage of resources and advantages between localities, forming a supply chain of typical goods and tourism products; in which, promote investment promotion activities in branded, classy, ​​high-quality, and distinctive tourism products, etc. in key tourist areas according to Nghe An tourism development strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2035.

Develop a focused and key investment promotion program; innovate and diversify the contents of investment promotion activities. Improve the quality of on-site investment promotion activities along with strengthening activities to support business development and improve the investment and business environment, enhance provincial competitiveness. Create a favorable, open and attractive investment environment for investors.

Specifically, for the activityInvestment Promotion:

Proactively approach and connect with major investors and foreign direct investors (FDI) leading the supply chains to promptly attract new investment flows; focus on attracting investment in industrial development in both breadth and depth, attracting investment in large projects (in the fields of electronic component manufacturing, information technology, processing and manufacturing, etc.) with quality, spillover effects, high added value, using modern, environmentally friendly technology in economic zones, industrial parks, and industrial clusters, ensuring the participation of local enterprises in the value chain; create the premise to shift accompanying supporting industrial projects from abroad to Nghe An.

Strengthen support and accompany existing infrastructure investors (VSIP Nghe An Co., Ltd., WHA Industrial Zone Nghe An Joint Stock Company, Hoang Thinh Dat Joint Stock Company,...) to prepare infrastructure and clean land to welcome secondary investors from the new investment wave. At the same time, proactively approach strategic investors to attract infrastructure investment, especially infrastructure for industrial parks and industrial clusters.

Focus on building, mobilizing and prioritizing resources to build essential infrastructure projects such as: Cua Lo deep-water port; Investing in upgrading and expanding Vinh International Airport; Traffic road connecting Vinh - Cua Lo (phase 2); Traffic road connecting from National Highway 7C (Do Luong) to Ho Chi Minh Road (Tan Ky); Coastal road from Nghi Son (Thanh Hoa) - Cua Lo (Nghe An),...; coordinate with the Ministry of Transport to soon complete the North - South Expressway Project through Nghe An province.

Focus on exploiting the domestic tourist market in the Northern provinces, focusing on Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Lao Cai, and actively promoting expansion to the Southern provinces and the Central Highlands by Ho Chi Minh Road and by air to visit Uncle Ho's hometown. Expand the exploitation of the Thai, Lao and ASEAN tourist markets by air, while continuing to maintain tourism programs by road, especially caravan tourism programs; promote cooperation with Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc, etc. to attract international visitors to Nghe An and the North Central provinces by air, gradually approaching the international tourist market with high spending levels such as: Japan, Korea, Russia, France, etc.
