(Baonghean.vn) - As a student in the coastal countryside of Quynh Lap commune, with limited learning conditions, Truong Quang Cuong has created an impressive feat by becoming the valedictorian of Hoang Mai High School in the recent national high school exam, with a total score of 27.55 in block A.

Truong Quang Cuong was born into a family where his father was the captain of a fishing boat and his mother worked in fishing logistics. His parents were busy with their long offshore trips, so Cuong and his younger brother had to be independent in their studies. Unlike his peers in the coastal commune of Quynh Lap who often dropped out of school early to pursue a career in seafood exploitation, Cuong was conscious of excelling in his studies from a young age, dreaming of becoming an officer in the Vietnam People's Army. Since he was a secondary school student, he has always tried to research and learn online, from friends and teachers to study well and achieve high scores to enter class 10A1, a selective class at Hoang Mai High School.

To keep up with my classmates, I do not mind the long distance, always diligently attend class on time, in addition to studying, I often review in the afternoons at school. Besides, I often study in groups with friends, take advantage of free time, during recess I ask the teacher to explain difficult exercises, thanks to my own perseverance and efforts in 3 years of study, I have always been an advanced student, an excellent student.

Without taking extra classes, Truong Quang Cuong's "secret" to studying well is also very simple: "Have a firm grasp of the knowledge at school, do not hesitate to ask teachers and friends to consolidate and improve your understanding, find different types of exercises and then try to find many different ways to solve them. Studying in groups is also a very effective way to supplement each other's knowledge."

Cuong shared that since he was in grade 10 and 11, he has oriented himself to a suitable learning method, arranged his study time scientifically and reasonably, without being constrained or stressed, so his self-study hours are always of high quality. Another "secret" is to always keep a confident and comfortable mentality when entering the exam, arrange the time to do the test reasonably and choose the options firmly and carefully.

Those "secrets" helped Truong Quang Cuong achieve a total score of 27.55 points in the recent national high school exam, including 9.6 points in Chemistry, 8.75 points in Math and 9.2 points in Physics.

With this score, Cuong is confident that he will pass the entrance exam to the Logistics Academy to fulfill his dream of becoming an officer of the Vietnam People's Army.
