Valedictorian with many impressive achievements

Nguyen Duy Khoi Nguyen received his high school graduation exam results with 56.95 points. Of which, he got 9.2 points in Math, 9 in Literature, 9.75 points in Physics and Chemistry, 9.25 points in Biology and 10 points in Foreign Language.

Khoi Nguyen's exam score was in the top 23 candidates with the highest exam scores in the country and he was the valedictorian of the Natural Science group. He was also in the top candidates with the highest exam scores in the A, A1 and B groups in the province and in the top 100 candidates with the highest admission combination scores in the country.

Receiving the results, Nguyen was not surprised about the score. However, he was quite surprised to be the valedictorian of the country in the Natural Sciences group.

Nguyen said: I set a goal to be in the list of 20 students with the highest graduation exam scores in the province and this is the result I have achieved after much effort. Therefore, I am really happy.

The goal of entering the top 20 of the province was set by Nguyen since the second semester of grade 10. At that time, with the top 5 entrance exam to the specialized Math class - Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, first prize, valedictorian of the province's excellent math students in grade 9, Nguyen was expected by teachers to make an effort to enter the national excellent student team.

However, after pursuing it for more than a semester, Nguyen realized that it would be difficult for him to reach the final destination. Not wanting to be a “normal” student at a specialized school, Nguyen wanted to make a mark in his 3 years of high school and he was determined to achieve high scores in the High School Graduation Exam, and have his name on the “golden list” of students commended by the province.

Nguyen said: I decided to choose block A (Math - Physics - Chemistry) to apply for university. But at that time, my Chemistry subject had been completely flawed since grade 8, and my Physics subject was also very average. To fill this gap, in the summer of grade 10, I registered for an online course to regain my foundation. After the summer, I studied online and self-studied, and I regained my basic knowledge, and then I started studying to gradually improve.

Talking more about his studies, Nguyen also said that the most favorable thing is that he has a solid foundation in Math, so studying the remaining natural sciences is not too difficult.

However, to learn effectively, you must have a firm grasp of the subject and practice a lot. For theory or experiments, if you do not understand any problem, you can go online and watch clips simulating the experiment to help you understand the lesson deeply and understand the nature of the matter.

Biology is also a subject that Nguyen is very interested in. This male student said that getting a score of 9 is not too difficult. According to Nguyen, the Biology exam only has 40 questions and you only need to study up to question 38 to get a high score. This is all knowledge in the textbook and just need to be diligent to be effective.

Maintain a serious learning attitude

Nguyen has maintained a serious study attitude for a long time. He schedules his science studies weekly, including 2 sessions per week for Math, Physics, Chemistry and 1 session per week for Biology. During study time, Nguyen can listen to music, take a 30-minute break to play with his phone, but once he gets into the lesson, he will devote all his heart and mind to completing the set goals.

In addition to the high results in the High School Graduation Exam, Nguyen also achieved 85.26/100 points in the Thinking Assessment Test of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (in the top 20 candidates with the highest scores in the third round) and achieved 111/150 points in the Competency Assessment Test of Hanoi National University.

With a very high Private Exam score, among the highest in the country, before the High School Graduation Exam, Nguyen was admitted to NV1 in the Auditing major of the National Economics University and was admitted to the Foreign Trade University. Moreover, he also had many other opportunities for direct admission because he had an IELTS certificate of 7.5, was the second prize winner in the provincial excellent student in Math for grade 12, and graduated with honors with a very high score of 9.6 points (top of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted). However, Nguyen was still determined and made efforts until the last day of the High School Graduation Exam. Even though he was exempted from the English exam, he was still determined to take the exam and became one of 17 candidates in the province to achieve a perfect score of 10 in this subject.

In addition to his excellent academic results, Nguyen's efforts were also recognized when, in early July, Nguyen was honored to be admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam. Becoming a young party member, the former Secretary of the Youth Union of 12A1 - Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted confided: I will study at the National Economics University and will strive to achieve excellent results.
