U23 Thailand lost forces in the group stage of the 2020 AFC U23 Championship
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has just officially punished Thai striker Supachai Jaided for his bad behavior in the 2020 AFC U23 Championship qualifiers.
According to AFC, Supachai Jaided was suspended for two matches. In addition, the striker currently playing for Buriram United, Xuan Truong's teammate, was also fined $1,000.
Supachai Jaided has 30 days to appeal. However, it is very difficult for the Football Association of Thailand to reduce the penalty for this 20-year-old striker. Supachai Jaided was punished for receiving a red card for punching defender Dinh Trong in the face of Thailand U23, who lost 0-4 to Vietnam U23 in the final round of the 2020 AFC U23 Championship qualifiers at My Dinh Stadium in late March 2019.
Thus, U23 Thailand will not have the service of Supachai Jaided in the first two matches of the group stage of the 2020 AFC U23 Championship finals taking place in Bangkok in early 2020. This is a huge loss of force for U23 Thailand because Supachai Jaided is a pillar of this team.
Goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung seriously injured
Joining Hanoi FC in the recent transfer period, but until now, the number 1 goalkeeper of U23 Vietnam - Bui Tien Dung still has not had the opportunity to debut for the new team.
In a recent interview, Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem also revealed the reason for this. Accordingly, the captain of Hanoi Club revealed that Bui Tien Dung is suffering from a very serious injury and must be treated completely if he does not want to retire early.
"Bui Tien Dung is suffering from a persistent injury that is very dangerous to a goalkeeper's career. It is a rotator cuff injury."
"This is an injury that takes time to fully recover. Because goalkeepers always have to block the ball, their wrists are often affected."
I encouraged Tien Dung not to be impatient, wait for the injury to heal completely. Because in the Hanoi team, there was a goalkeeper who had to retire because of being careless with this type of injury."
K.League organizers change regulations because of Cong Phuong
Cong Phuong joined Incheon United after helping the Vietnamese national team win the 2018 AFF Cup. The presence of the striker from Nghe An helped K.League attract the attention of fans in the "S" shaped country and the entire Southeast Asian region.
Currently, Cong Phuong and Incheon are having difficulty with their form, however, the attraction of this striker wearing the number 23 shirt is still very great, so the Korean Football Federation has made a strategic change for football in the land of Kim Chi.
Specifically, when amending the regulations to increase the number of foreign players in the K.League 2020, the K.League stipulates that each team will have the right to register 5 foreign players. Of these, there must be at least one Asian player and 1 player from the Southeast Asian region.
This new regulation opens up more opportunities for Vietnamese stars to play football in Korea. Notable names include Quang Hai, Van Toan, Van Duc, Van Hau and Hoang Duc.
In addition, Fox Sports Asian highly appreciated the influence of Coach Park Hang-seo and Vietnamese football in Korea. Incheon United's matches with Cong Phuong attracted a huge number of viewers, so the Football Federation of Korea made the change.
Arsenal and Chelsea into Europa League semi-finals
Arsenal had an easier match than expected in their trip to Napoli's home ground in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals. Leading 2-0 in the first leg, Arsenal quickly increased the gap to 3 goals in the 30th minute thanks to Lacazette's free kick. At this point, Napoli needed to score 4 goals to be able to win a ticket to the next round when their morale was at a very low level. Napoli attacked in vain and failed to make an impression. The second leg ended with a final score of 1-0. With a total score of 3-0, Arsenal convincingly won a ticket to the Europa League semi-finals. Their opponent in the semi-finals is Valencia, the team that defeated Villarreal 2-0 (5-1 on aggregate).
Arsenal received bad news
In the match against Napoli, the Welsh midfielder had to limp off the field in the 33rd minute. Immediately after the match, coach Unai Emery confirmed that Ramsey had suffered a hamstring injury: "I don't know about Ramsey's condition. We will have to wait and see what the final result is. Normally with this type of injury, it would take him a few weeks to recover."
With this injury, Ramsey may have played his last match for Arsenal. Because in the summer of 2019, Ramsey will move to Juventus according to the previously signed agreement.
Meanwhile, Chelsea entered the match against Slavia Praha in high spirits after a 1-0 away win in the first leg. In the first 17 minutes, Chelsea took a 3-goal lead with goals from Pedro (5'), Giroud (17') and an own goal from Simon Deli (9'). Slavia Praha tried to reduce the score to 1-3 with a header from Tomas Soucek in the 25th minute but Pedro was able to restore Chelsea's 3-goal lead before the end of the first half.

Chelsea were a bit complacent in the second half, allowing Sevcik to score twice in just 3 minutes from minute 51 to minute 54, narrowing the score to 3-4. But that was also what the Czech team did. In the end, Chelsea won 5-3, and set up a semi-final against Frankfurt. The German team defeated Benfica 2-0 in the second leg to advance on away goals with a total score of 4-4.
The Europa League semi-final first legs will take place on 2 May with the return legs held a week later.
Ajax benefit in Champions League
According to the original match schedule, in the early morning of April 29, Ajax will travel to De Graafschap Stadium in the Dutch National Championship (Eredivisie). This match will take place exactly 2 days before Ajax's big match with Tottenham in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals. In order to facilitate Ajax's competition in the European arena, Eredivisie has considered changing the match schedule.
With the Eredivisie title race yet to be decided, the KNVB rejected the option of postponing only Ajax's match. In the end, the KNVB proposed postponing the entire round of 33, which was supported by the remaining 17 teams. All nine make-up matches will take place at 0:30 on May 16.
