Ha Tinh goalkeeper makes impressive debut in V.League

(Baonghean.vn) - After many years of training in Hai Phong, Phan Dinh Vu Hai finally had the opportunity to show himself in V.League 2017 in two important matches against Ho Chi Minh City Club and SLNA.

Phan Dinh Vu Hai was born in 1994 in Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh. With innate talent and a great passion for football, Hai participated in the Phu Dong provincial sports festival and was selected by the teachers to train at the Ha Tinh youth team.

However, in 2011, after Xuan Thanh Group stopped investing in the province's football, the team had to disband and Vu Hai and many other teammates left in disappointment. Not giving up his passion and with the determination to become a professional goalkeeper, Phan Dinh Vu Hai decided to pack up and leave his beloved hometown to go to Hai Phong Club to join the team. He quickly passed the basic test of the coaching board and became the goalkeeper of the Hai Phong U19 team.

After 4 years of persistent and hard training, in 2016 he was promoted to the first team of the Lach Tray team. However, he still did not have many opportunities to show himself because in terms of reputation and battle experience, Vu Hai was inferior when compared to Dang Van Lam or Van Phong.

During that time, he only played a few matches in the National Cup, but Hai Phong stopped early because they focused all their efforts on their V.League ambitions. At the end of the season, Hai Phong fell into a situation of lacking a goalkeeper because the national player Van Lam was injured with no return date and the team's second goalkeeper Van Phong was also injured, possibly missing until the end of the tournament.

So after many times of training and waiting, the opportunity came to this goalkeeper from Ha Tinh when Phan Dinh Vu Hai had 90 minutes to introduce himself to the fans in the match against Ho Chi Minh City Club on the afternoon of October 14. This was the first time he was the main goalkeeper for Hai Phong in the V.League. Therefore, we can understand Vu Hai's feeling of excitement, his spirit of dedication, his desire to contribute and to show himself.

And because of his passion, enthusiasm, and daring moves, Phan Dinh Vu Hai had to lie down on the field at least 3 times due to injuries, requiring medical attention before he could continue playing. Although Vu Hai was unfortunately injured in the second half, because Hai Phong had no backup goalkeeper, he had to grit his teeth and play until the end of the match.

Even the goalkeeper born in 1994 had a pretty good match, handling situations safely, coordinating effectively with the defense and not making any blameworthy mistakes. Thereby helping the home team win with a score of 4 - 1 against the away team. That excellent form continued to be shown by him in the match against SLNA in round 22 of V.League when Hai Phong had a difficult away trip to the fiery pan of Thanh Vinh.

It was his fiery spirit, tenacity, fearlessness in collisions, accurate judgments, and good control of situations that helped this 1m83 tall goalkeeper successfully neutralize crosses from his compatriot Phi Son and a series of other attacks from the strikers on the Nghe An team's attack line. Although he had to pick the ball out of the net twice, Vu Hai still had a convincing performance, being a solid support that created peace of mind for Hai Phong's defense.

Possessing an ideal physique and the gentle and simple nature of a Ha Tinh native, Phan Dinh Vu Hai is gradually building trust from the coaching staff and winning the hearts of Hai Phong fans.
