Thai goalkeeper will soon have the chance to compete with Neymar
The Thai goalkeeper is facing the opportunity to compete weekly with the world's top strikers such as Neymar, Balotelli or Falcao.
According to Thai press, Ligue 1 representative Angers is considering recruiting goalkeeper Kawin Thamsatchanan of the Thai national team in the upcoming winter transfer window.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper currently plays for Muangthong United in the Thai League. He joined the club in 2008 and has made over 200 appearances for the club in the league. Last season, Muangthong United finished second in the Thai League with 72 points, six points behind leaders Buriram United.
At the national team level, Kawin Thamsatchanan has played for the Thai national team since 2010 and is considered the number one goalkeeper in Southeast Asia. At the AFF Suzuki Cup 2016, the 27-year-old goalkeeper was also included in the tournament's best squad.
Currently, Angers also has another Southeast Asian player, Billy Ketkeophomphone, a striker of Lao origin. In addition, Angers also owns Giles Sunu, a former "prodigy" of Arsenal. On the Ligue 1 rankings, Angers is in 16th place, equal in points with the red light group, conceding 23 goals. Kawin Thamsatchanan is expected to improve the team's defense.
According to Transfermarkt, Kawin Thamsatchanan is valued at 400,000 euros.
If this becomes a reality, the 27-year-old goalkeeper will have the opportunity to confront the world's top strikers such as Neymar, Kylian Mbappe or Edinson Cavani.
