Nghe An budget revenue in 2024 is estimated at 24,797 billion VND
Nghe An province's budget revenue in 2024 is estimated at VND 24,797 billion, exceeding 55.9% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council and increasing 15.3% compared to the implementation in 2023.
On the morning of December 25, Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired and directed the regular meeting of the Provincial People's Committee to listen to, evaluate and discuss the socio-economic development situation in December and 2024; plans and tasks for the first quarter of 2025 and many other important contents.
Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Bui Thanh An - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Also attending the meeting were members of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of departments, branches and sectors and leaders of 21 districts, cities and towns online.
Reporting on the socio-economic development situation in December and 2024, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment Pham Hong Quang said that in 2024, the growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated at 9.01%, ranking 13th in the country.

Of which, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector is estimated to increase by 4.14%; the industry and construction sector is estimated to increase by 13.61%; and the service sector is estimated to increase by 7.88%.
State budget revenue is estimated at VND 24,797 billion, reaching 155.9% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council and increasing by 15.3% compared to 2023, the third consecutive year exceeding the VND 20,000 billion mark and approaching the target of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.
Agricultural, forestry and fishery production continues to maintain stable growth. Industrial production has strongly recovered, with the industrial production index in 2024 estimated to increase by 15%. Total export turnover is estimated at 3.7 billion USD, of which goods export turnover is estimated at 3.215 billion USD.

In 2024, the number of tourists to the province is estimated to reach 9.45 million, of which 5.93 million are overnight visitors and 120,500 are international visitors. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND 28,569 billion, of which tourism revenue is estimated at VND 11,160 billion.
It is expected that by the end of 2024, the whole province will have 327 communes meeting new rural standards, 127 communes meeting advanced new rural standards, 25 communes meeting model new rural standards, and 11 district-level units completing their tasks and meeting new rural standards.
As of December 20, 2024, the province's total public investment plan has disbursed over VND 7,547 billion, reaching 73.35%, expected to reach over 95% by the end of 2024. Works and projects, especially key works, have been completed and put into use on schedule.

Investment attraction continues to be a bright spot, with the total newly granted and increased investment capital reaching over VND61,488 billion; of which FDI capital is expected to reach nearly USD1.7 billion, the highest ever, in the top 10 nationwide.
The fields of culture, society, and social security have received attention and achieved many positive and clearer results. From the beginning of 2023 to now, the whole province has mobilized in various forms over 843.19 billion VND, supporting the construction and repair of 11,787 houses, reaching 75% of the plan for the entire period of 2023 - 2025.
Administrative reform has had positive changes; the implementation of Project No. 06 of the Government has achieved high results. The Provincial People's Committee has issued a plan to arrange and streamline the organization of the provincial government.
National defense and security continued to be firmly consolidated, social order and safety were ensured. Foreign affairs continued to be effectively implemented with many outstanding and comprehensive activities in all fields.

In addition to the achieved results, African swine fever is still complicated in many districts, cities and towns. The output of some industrial products in December is expected to decrease compared to the same period in 2023.
Some sources of capital disbursement are still low, such as: National target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas (52.8%), National target program for sustainable poverty reduction (33.34%), and long-term capital (47.14%).
4 districts: Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Con Cuong and 3 investors: Nghe An Oncology Hospital, Provincial Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Management Board and Department of Transport have a large amount of remaining undisbursed capital.
