Revoke journalist card of former Chief Representative of Business and Law Newspaper
On March 28, the Ministry of Information and Communications decided to revoke the press card of Mr. Phan Van Thuong, former Head of the Representative Office of the Business and Law Newspaper in Hai Phong city.
Accordingly, Mr. Phan Van Thuong's press card issued by the Business and Law newspaper was revoked according to Decision No. 434/QD-BTTTT on the grounds that Mr. Thuong was disciplined by being dismissed from his position as Head of the Representative Office of the Business and Law newspaper in Hai Phong city.
The Editor-in-Chief of Business and Law Newspaper is responsible for revoking Mr. Phan Van Thuong's press card and submitting it to the Ministry of Information and Communications before April 11.

On March 24, Hong Bang District Police (Hai Phong City) caught Phan Thanh Long (born in 1991) (Thai Son, An Lao, Hai Phong); Pham Van Tan (born in 1990) (Xuan Dai, Truong Tho, An Lao, Hai Phong), both employees of Kinh Doanh and Phap Luat newspaper, receiving money from Ms. Dao Thi Dai (in May To, Ngo Quyen, Hai Phong).
Immediately afterwards, the Investigation Police Agency of Hong Bang District Police arrested and urgently searched Phan Van Thuong, (born in 1974), in group 31, Vinh Niem ward, Le Chan district, Head of the Representative Office of Kinh Doanh va Phap Luat newspaper in Hai Phong for the crime of "Extortion of property."
During an emergency search of Phan Van Thuong's residence and workplace, the police seized many documents related to the above-mentioned crime.
Through initial investigation, Phan Van Thuong organized reporters and collaborators to grasp and detect households and social organizations with signs of violating social management and asked for "support" money or else it would be published in the newspaper.
Regarding the incident, on March 27, the District Police Investigation Agency initiated a criminal case on the act of "Extortion of property" involving three subjects from the Business and Law newspaper who took advantage of the name of journalists to extort property of citizens./.
