Import-export tax collection in Nghe An reached 1,020 billion VND

(Baonghean.vn) - As of November 30, tax collection at Nghe An Customs Department reached 957 billion VND, reaching 98.6% of the target assigned by the General Department of Customs (970 billion VND).

Import-export tax accounts for about 10% of total budget revenue of Nghe An province.

The above revenue reached 75% of the target assigned by Nghe An Provincial People's Committee (1,270 billion VND) and increased by 17.5% compared to the same period in 2015 (777.8 billion VND). Import-export turnover reached 795,655,099 USD, also increased by 28.2% compared to the same period last year (621,541,651 USD).

Import-export tax revenue in November increased sharply compared to the previous month. According to statistics from Nghe An Customs Department, many items had positive growth in revenue to the budget: Petroleum products increased; cold-rolled steel imported for the production of corrugated iron sheets of Hoa Sen Corporation.

In addition, we also have traditional products: Stone of all kinds, stone powder, acacia wood chips, cajuput, machinery, equipment of investment projects... all have stable growth.

From now until the end of the year, the unit will continue to synchronously implement solutions to facilitate import and export activities of enterprises; strengthen the work of preventing revenue loss through applying tax price codes, post-clearance inspection; combat smuggling, trade fraud, etc., and strive to complete the budget revenue target for 2016.

According to Mr. Chu Quang Luan, Director of Nghe An Customs Department, by the end of December 2016, import-export tax revenue is estimated to reach 1,020 billion VND.
