The total number of staff participating in the multiple-choice exam marking committee was 41 people. In addition, there were 20 people from the exam marking security force.
Previously, determining that the marking stage is extremely important, contributing to the success of the High School Graduation Exam, the Department of Education and Training directed the provincial marking committee to select competent teachers who work responsibly and honestly. During the marking process (for essay subjects), closely follow the answers and scoring criteria of the Ministry of Education and Training, accurately and completely mark the exam, ensuring reliable results as well as fairness and objectivity for candidates.
During the inspection, Deputy Minister Nguyen Huu Do and the working delegation also came to inspect and directly discuss with the examiners of round 1, round 2, test graders, and exam scoring officers... Through conversation, the examiners said that thanks to being trained and thoroughly understanding the regulations and exam scoring process, they did not encounter any concerns, difficulties or pressure during the working process.
In addition, the answers, scoring sheets, and guidelines for marking essays by the Ministry of Education and Training are clear, scientific, and easy to understand, which has created favorable conditions for examiners. On the very first day of marking essays, examiners were able to “break away from the answers” and evenly mark the candidates’ papers.
According to the report of the essay marking committee, as of the afternoon of July 15, there were 607 papers proposed for a third marking, less than 2% of the total number of papers. However, none of these papers had to be marked together, meaning the difference in scores between examiners was no more than 2.5 points per paper. The difference between examiners was within the allowable limit.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Huu Do reminded the examiners not to be afraid of giving candidates 10 points in Literature. But they must ensure that they are correct and accurate to the candidates' abilities and test scores.

Working in Nghe An, Deputy Minister Nguyen Huu Do emphasized that the High School Graduation Exam Boards must clearly define the scoring viewpoint as correct, accurate, objective, and strictly follow the regulations. The scoring must be quick but not rushed to avoid discrepancies and errors.

Literature is the only subject that is graded on essays in the 2022 High School Graduation Exam. Regarding the grading of this subject, Deputy Minister Nguyen Huu Do also said that the difference in scores between independent grading rounds is a must. However, trying to ensure that the difference is not too large, within the allowable range is the responsibility and capacity of the examiners and there is consistency.
Regarding the multiple-choice test scoring, the inspection team also highly appreciated Nghe An's organization, from arranging facilities, mobilizing test-scoring forces, protecting test papers and test results of candidates. Police forces were also deployed to ensure security during the test-scoring period.
