Deputy Minister of Transport added new tasks

This morning, the Ministry of Transport issued a decision assigning Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Cong to be in charge of the Board of Directors of the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation.

Specifically, after the Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport had a unified Resolution, Minister of Transport Truong Quang Nghia issued a decision to assign Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Cong to concurrently be in charge of the Board of Members of the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation from August 1, 2017 until a person is appointed to the position of Chairman of the Board of Members.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Su is currently holding the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation and officially retired according to regulations from August 1, 2017.

Minister Truong Quang Nghia highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and efforts of the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation in general and Mr. Su in particular for maintaining the stable operation of the Corporation, overcoming difficulties in the post-Vinashin period and the current context of the shipbuilding industry.

Assigning the task to Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Cong, Minister Truong Quang Nghia believes that with his experience in charge of the shipbuilding industry in the past time and understanding the difficulties of the Corporation, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Cong and his staff will stabilize the Corporation and make steps for development in the coming time./.
