Deputy Minister of Transport has new duties

This morning, the Ministry of Transport issued a decision assigning Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Cong to be in charge of the Board of Directors of the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation.

Specifically, after the Party Committee of the Ministry of Transport had a unanimous Resolution, Minister of Transport Truong Quang Nghia decided to assign Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Cong to concurrently be in charge of the Board of Members of the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation from August 1, 2017 until a person is appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Board of Members.

Currently, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Su is holding the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation and officially retired according to regulations from August 1, 2017.

Minister Truong Quang Nghia highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and efforts of the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation in general and Mr. Su in particular in maintaining the stable operation of the Corporation, overcoming difficulties in the post-Vinashin period and the current context of the shipbuilding industry.

Assigning the task to Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Cong, Minister Truong Quang Nghia believes that with his experience in charge of the shipbuilding industry in recent times and understanding the difficulties of the Corporation, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Cong and his staff will help stabilize the Corporation and make steps for development in the coming time./.
