The Deputy Minister of National Defence inspects logistics support and basic construction investment work in Military Region 4.
On the morning of April 20th, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense, and his delegation inspected the logistics and basic construction investment work for 2026 at Military Region 4 and the Military Commands of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.

In the first four months of 2026, Military Region 4 successfully completed its key tasks. Notably, it maintained strict combat readiness, accurately assessed and predicted the situation, and absolutely avoided being caught off guard or surprised in any situation.
Logistics support has been comprehensively implemented, ranging from ensuring adequate logistical support for combat readiness and routine tasks to boosting agricultural production, livestock farming, and healthcare for soldiers.

In addition, barracks management and basic construction investment procedures are carried out in accordance with regulations, ensuring progress and creating the best living and working environment for officers and soldiers.
At the Nghe An Provincial Military Command, agencies and units strictly maintain the combat readiness duty regime; implement tasks according to plan; and perform well in logistics, finance, and basic construction investment.

This includes ensuring good logistical support for combat readiness; directing agencies and units to promote increased livestock production and efficient centralized milling, processing, and slaughtering activities. It also involves the recruitment, reception, and distribution of military equipment to new recruits and officers and professional soldiers assigned to the Military Commands of communes and wards according to plan.
Implement the management, care, and protection of soldiers' health in a systematic manner. Effectively manage and maintain barracks, provide good support for soldiers' living and working conditions, and receive and train new recruits.

The management and use of the Military Region's official housing areas are carried out properly, strictly, and effectively; the review process is conducted openly, democratically, and targets the correct beneficiaries.
Concluding the working session, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, Deputy Minister of National Defense, commended the achievements of Military Region 4 in general and the Military Commands of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces in particular in the past period in ensuring logistics and basic construction investment in 2026.
The Deputy Minister of National Defense requested that in the coming period, the Party Committee, the Command of Military Region 4, and the Military Commands of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces continue to effectively implement military and national defense tasks according to plan; strictly maintain the combat readiness duty regime, and avoid negligence and complacency.

In logistics, emphasis is placed on improving the quality of life for soldiers through sustainable farming models and ensuring food safety.
Regarding basic construction work, it is necessary to accelerate progress while strictly controlling the quality of the projects, managing the budget transparently, avoiding losses and waste, and at the same time continuing to promote the construction of regular, green, clean, and beautiful barracks.
