Regarding the resignation of Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thoa, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, on August 2, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that according to current regulations, the handling of the resignation of Deputy Minister Ho Thi Kim Thoa is under the authority of the Prime Minister to consider and decide after receiving opinions from the Secretariat and relevant agencies.

“Currently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has sent a document to the competent authorities to review and resolve the application of Deputy Minister Ho Thi Kim Thoa. After receiving instructions from the competent authorities, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will organize the implementation,” information from the Ministry of Industry and Trade stated.

It is known that after submitting her resignation on July 28, Ms. Thoa has been on temporary leave since August 1. During this time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is temporarily assigning some of the tasks assigned to Ms. Thoa to another Deputy Minister.

Previously, the Central Inspection Commission (CIC) reviewed and disciplined Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thoa, member of the Party Executive Committee, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.

The Central Inspection Commission has reviewed the violations and shortcomings of Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thoa during her tenure as Party Secretary, Director of Dien Quang Lamp Company, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Dien Quang Lamp Joint Stock Company (from January 2004 to May 2010) as concluded at the 15th Session of the Central Inspection Commission.

The Central Inspection Commission found that the violations and shortcomings of Deputy Minister Ho Thi Kim Thoa were serious. Pursuant to Regulation No. 181-QD/TW of the Politburo on disciplinary action against violating Party members, the Central Inspection Commission decided to issue a warning to Deputy Minister Ho Thi Kim Thoa.

Pursuant to Regulation No. 260-QD/TW of the Politburo, the Central Inspection Commission recommends that competent authorities consider dismissing Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thoa from her current positions./.
