US Deputy Secretary of State: Ukraine aid money remains in the US economy
(Baonghean.vn) - US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, in an interview with CNN, said that most of the money that the US allocates in aid to Ukraine remains in the US economy.

According to Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, much of the aid money to Ukraine will go back into the US economy to produce weapons, including well-paying jobs.
In December 2023, the US administration announced that it had exhausted its funding for Ukraine. And until Congress approved new appropriations, it could not provide weapons and ammunition. US aid efforts to Ukraine are stalled by congressional wrangling. Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials are trying to convince them that "if they get aid, they will win the war and defeat Russia. But if they don't get aid, they will definitely lose the war."
Regarding Russia, Deputy Secretary Victoria Nuland said that Russia today is not a country with which the United States wants to do business.
"Frankly, this is not the Russia we want. We want a partner who is European, who is oriented towards the West," Ms. Nuland said.
However, according to the US diplomat, turning to the West is not something that Russian leaders focus on.
Previously, in January 2024, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov made a statement that there is currently no relationship between the US and Russia. Washington and Moscow are at an unprecedented low point in their relations, and maintain a "boring" dialogue about work at embassies.
