1. Car insurance claim process

- Send written accident notification to the insurance company as soon as possible, this is a mandatory step to initiate the claim process with the insurer.

- Initial accident handling: Based on the extent of damage and determining whether there is a third party at fault or not, the vehicle owner needs confirmation from the traffic police or authorities at the scene of the incident that led to the damage.

- The insurance company conducts an assessment with the relevant parties. The assessment results must be signed by the assessor, from which a decision is made to repair or replace the damage.

- Car insurance claim processing: The insurance company will guarantee payment at the repair site upon receipt of all documents and records. The car owner signs the acceptance report, signs the contract and receives the car.

2. Auto insurance claim file

The insurance company will assist the car owner in connecting relevant parties (victims, traffic police, etc.) to complete the claim file. Accordingly, the required documents in the file include:

- Vehicle related documents: Vehicle registration, driver's license.

- Other identification documents of the vehicle owner: Citizen ID card, passport...

- Documents proving personal injury (copy from hospital/medical facility or copy certified by insurance company): Insurance certificate, injury certificate, surgery certificate, hospital discharge certificate, death certificate (in case of death),...

- Documents proving property damage (original): Invoices/documents on repairs or replacement of damaged parts performed by the vehicle owner at repair shops approved/designated by the insurance company; Documents proving the costs incurred by the vehicle owner under the guidance of the insurance company, documents from competent authorities on the incident (copies, minutes of scene investigation, diagram of the scene, photos (if any); Minutes of inspection of related vehicles, preliminary notice of initial investigation results, other documents related to the incident.

3. Property insurance appraisal and claim process

The property insurance claim and appraisal process includes 4 steps similar to car insurance. A claim file includes the following documents:

- Notice of loss

- List of insured assets

- Claim form according to form

- Documents of insured assets including insurance certificate/contract:

For machinery/equipment: Operating manuals, technical specifications, warranty papers, operating logbooks, blueprints, purchase invoices, etc. For factories: Construction designs, drawings, etc. For internal assets: Technical drawings, purchase invoices, pre- and post-incident inventory reports, etc. For imported and exported goods: Bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing slips, delivery and receipt records, shipping documents, etc.

- Documents explaining the complaint amount: Quotation, invoice, production order, spare parts request and delivery note, purchase order, spare parts cancellation record...

In case of emergency, accident occurs on holiday or weekend, the insured can still contact the insurance company.
