The British Prime Minister affirmed that despite the enormous pressure from the British political arena and public opinion at present, the government will not change its Brexit strategy.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on September 2 that he would not ask the EU to delay Brexit further under any circumstances and warned that if British lawmakers vote to completely rule out a no-deal Brexit scenario, no negotiations will be held with the EU.

In a speech on the afternoon of September 2 at the British Prime Minister's Office, Mr. Boris Johnson affirmed that despite the enormous pressure from the current British political arena and public opinion, his government will not change its Brexit strategy.

“I want everyone to know that under no circumstances will I ask the EU for a further delay to Brexit. We will leave the EU on October 31. We will not accept any attempt to reverse the promises and results of the referendum.

If we keep that faith, I believe we will reach an agreement at the decisive EU Summit in October. In the meantime, let our negotiators work without swords at their throats. And there will be no elections.”

Also in his speech, Mr. Johnson called on opposition MPs within the Conservative Party not to form an alliance with opposition Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn because any intention to delay Brexit would be futile.

Earlier, on September 2, many sources within the Conservative Party said that Mr. Boris Johnson had warned that he would strip opposition MPs of their representative status in the Conservative Party if they voted against his government.

The group, which currently numbers around 20 MPs, is led by former Chancellor Philip Hammond and former Justice Secretary David Gauke.

As expected, today (September 3), when the British Parliament reconvenes, the Conservative Party's opposition group of MPs may join with the opposition parties, the Labour Party, the Liberal Democratic Party (Lib-Dem) and the Scottish National Party (SNP), to vote to pass a law to prevent all no-deal Brexit scenarios.

In case this law is passed, the British government has announced that no negotiations with the EU will take place. Another source said that at that time, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson could call an early election on October 14, despite Mr. Johnson recently declaring that he does not want an election./.
