This is Mrs May's first major political test since her Conservative Party lost its majority in a general election earlier this month.
With the support of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) - Northern Ireland's largest political party, the legislative program of Mrs. May's minority government won 323 votes in favor, compared to 309 votes against in the British Parliament with 650 seats.
In the early parliamentary election on June 8, Prime Minister May's Conservative Party failed to win the majority of 326/650 seats needed to form a government and was forced to form a coalition with the pro-British DUP party, which currently holds 10 seats in the new Parliament.
According to a study published on June 27 by Citi Bank, Prime Minister May's minority government is unsustainable and unlikely to last more than a few months. The bank believes that Prime Minister May's government will last a year at most.
From the start, the Conservative government will face pressure from a divided and conflicted Parliament. Other parties will continue to challenge the Conservative leadership, and the risk of another general election within the next 12 months is high.
Meanwhile, the British people have now reduced their support for Prime Minister Theresa May's Conservative Party, the party advocating Britain's exit from the European Union (EU), also known as Brexit./.
