Recently, the Prime Minister and the Government have directed ministries and branches to consolidate and rearrange inter-sectoral steering committees in the direction that those that are not operating effectively or substantively will be reorganized or dissolved. At the same time, the responsibility, discipline and administrative discipline of the members of the steering committees will be enhanced.

After reviewing, the authorities have advised the Prime Minister to decide to merge a number of steering committees with the same functions and tasks. Such as the steering committees: the national high-tech development program to 2020, the national product development program to 2020, the national technology innovation program to 2020. Also on the merged list are the Central Steering Committee for the national target program on new rural construction, the Central Steering Committee on sustainable poverty reduction for the period 2011 - 2020.

The Prime Minister also dissolved the State Steering Committee for the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project, the Steering Committee for developing a project on population development, labor, training, family and social policies to serve the country's sustainable development until 2050...

The Prime Minister also said that the Government is actively participating in developing a project to continue innovating the Party's leadership method, building a streamlined political system with effective and efficient operations, and submitting it to the 6th Central Committee, including the issue of rearranging inter-sectoral organizations.

"The general policy is that ineffective steering committees will be reorganized, consolidated or dissolved," the Prime Minister affirmed in a written response to questions from delegates.
