Prime Minister Cameron: Iraqi militants are planning an attack on Britain.
According to Reuters, British Prime Minister David Cameron said on June 18 that Sunni Muslim militants, who are carrying out insurgency operations in Iraq, are planning an attack on Britain.
Speaking before Parliament, Cameron said: “I disagree with those who think that this has nothing to do with us and that if they want some kind of extremist Islamic regime in the middle of Iraq it will not affect us. It will affect us. Those in that regime are looking to seize territory and are also planning attacks against us here, in our own country, Britain.”

In related developments, Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki on the same day called on the country's tribes to oppose Sunni Muslim militants who have seized major cities in a week-long offensive.
In comments broadcast on television, Maliki said: “I call on the tribes to protest against those who are murderers and criminals representing a foreign agenda.”
