Prime Minister directs to take care of the future of 3 children of mother who donated organs to save lives
The Government Office has just issued a document informing the Prime Minister's opinion to the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province on ensuring a sustainable future for children whose mothers donate organs.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister requested the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province to consider creating conditions to support accommodation and resolve social assistance policies and other related policies for the children according to regulations; at the same time, mobilize organizations and individuals to support and help the children solve difficulties and stabilize their lives.
The story of Nguyen Thi Sang (19 years old, from Ha Tinh) donating her mother's organs, who was brain dead due to a traffic accident at the end of March, to help save the lives of four other people, has touched many people and received a letter of praise from President Tran Dai Quang. However, after her mother passed away, Sang's situation was very difficult because she had to take care of two younger siblings by herself.
After the press reported the news, many agencies and organizations supported the children both materially and spiritually. The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs had a plan to support employment for Sang and send his two younger siblings to a care and nurturing center in Binh Duong province according to his initial wishes. However, Sang later chose to stay in Ha Tinh.
