The Prime Minister directed to urgently develop a Decree to replace Decree 64 on donations and support.
The Government Office has just issued Document No. 8876/VPCP-QHDP conveying the Prime Minister's direction to assign the Ministry of Finance to urgently preside over the development of a Decree to replace Decree No. 64/2008/ND-CP dated May 14, 2008 on mobilizing, receiving, distributing and using voluntary contributions to support people in overcoming difficulties caused by natural disasters, fires, serious incidents, and patients with serious illnesses.

In order to organize the mobilization, reception, distribution and use of voluntary contributions to support people to overcome difficulties caused by natural disasters, epidemics, incidents; patients with serious illnesses to ensure effectiveness, timeliness, encourage, honor and create favorable conditions for organizations and individuals to promote the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, and quickly support to stabilize life, restore and develop production and living of people, at the regular meeting in August 2020, the Government approved the proposal to develop a Government Decree on mobilizing, receiving, distributing and using voluntary contributions to support people to overcome difficulties caused by natural disasters, epidemics, incidents; patients with serious illnesses.
The Prime Minister directs as follows: The Ministry of Finance shall urgently preside over research, widely and fully collect opinions from relevant ministries, branches, agencies and subjects directly affected, and develop the above Decree to replace Decree No. 64/2008/ND-CP dated May 14, 2008 of the Government, and submit it to the Government in accordance with the provisions of law.
The Prime Minister assigned the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities, within their scope of responsibility, to urgently coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the same level, the Red Cross Society and relevant agencies to guide and support organizations and individuals to carry out relief activities at the right address, to the right subjects, in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring transparency, objectivity and fairness among relief beneficiaries.
