Prime Minister attends inauguration of connecting 1,000 hospitals for remote medical examination and treatment
(Baonghean.vn) - The Prime Minister stated: The remote medical examination and treatment system has opened a new chapter in medical examination and treatment activities in Vietnam, helping people access medical services quickly and safely.

On the afternoon of September 25, the Ministry of Health held an inauguration ceremony connecting 1,000 hospitals for remote medical examination and treatment. The ceremony was held online with the participation of more than 1,000 connecting points from the Central to 63 provinces, cities and hospitals nationwide.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended and delivered a speech at the ceremony. Also present were Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam; representatives of central ministries and agencies; and representatives of international organizations.
Nghe An province has the participation of the following points: Department of Health, Provincial General Hospital, Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, Oncology Hospital, Endocrinology Hospital, Northwest Regional General Hospital, Vinh City General Hospital, Cua Dong General Hospital, Quang Khoi General Hospital, Medical Centers of Anh Son, Tan Ky and Hoang Mai districts.

June 22, 2020,Ministry of HealthDecision No. 26/28/QD-BYT has approved the Project "Remote medical examination and treatment" for the period 2020 - 2025. The project is built on the viewpoint of "High and far-reaching quality of medical examination and treatment", with the goal that all people are managed, consulted, examined, treated, and professionally supported by doctors from the commune level to the central level; people can use quality medical services of the upper level right at the lower level medical facility.
Medical facilities receive regular and ad hoc professional support from end-level hospitals based on information technology platforms; contributing to disease prevention, reducing overload at upper-level hospitals, improving the quality and efficiency of medical examination and treatment and people's satisfaction.

The main activities of the Project include: Telemedicine consultation; remote medical examination and treatment consultation; remote imaging diagnosis consultation; remote surgical consultation; training and technology transfer activities.

Remote medical examination and treatment - Deeply humane
Press the button to officially put the remote medical examination and treatment system into operation and speak at the ceremony,Prime MinisterNguyen Xuan Phuc praised and highly appreciated the Ministry of Health and related units for quickly deploying the project and effectively implementing the National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with a vision to 2030, with a vision that by 2030 Vietnam will become a digital nation.

The Prime Minister suggested: Ministries, sectors, localities and relevant units quickly expand the remote medical examination and treatment system to all 14,000 medical facilities nationwide and connect internationally, especially with countries with advanced medical standards. Only then can all people enjoy high-quality medical services; Vietnamese people do not need to go abroad for medical examination and treatment but can be treated domestically.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc requested: The Ministry of Health to direct units to actively and proactively implement the remote medical examination and treatment program; comprehensively apply digital technology at medical examination and treatment facilities, build smart hospitals; carry out well the inspection, evaluation and experience drawing work so that the project can be implemented better.

In particular, the medical team needs to promote their intelligence, spirit of helping, guiding, and learning to effectively implement the remote medical examination and treatment program, gradually improving the quality of primary health care to serve people better and better.
At the ceremony, a representative of Viettel Group spoke and symbolically presented 178 remote consultation centers to hospitals./.
