Prime Minister: Preparing to appoint 2 new members of the Government
To prepare for the upcoming 4th session of the 14th National Assembly, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc assigned the Minister of Home Affairs to preside over the preparation of documents and procedures to submit to the National Assembly for approval of the dismissal of the Minister of Transport and the Government Inspector General and the appointment of new personnel to replace them.

Specifically, the Prime Minister assigned five ministers important tasks to prepare for the National Assembly session. Among them, Minister of Home Affairs Le Vinh Tan was mentioned with two urgent tasks.
Report on recent cases of staff misconduct and disciplinary action
First of all, the Minister of Home Affairs is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to prepare documents and procedures for approving the dismissal and appointment of Government members (Minister of Transport and Government Inspector General).
Previously, information conveyed by National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said that in the first days of the 4th session (which will open on October 23), the National Assembly will consider the dismissal of Minister of Transport Truong Quang Nghia and Government Inspector General Phan Van Sau.
Minister Nghia was dismissed mid-term because he was recently assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee. Accordingly, the Prime Minister must also submit to the National Assembly for approval the person to replace Mr. Nghia as Minister of Transport.
The reason why Mr. Phan Van Sau is being considered for dismissal from the position of Government Inspector General has not been announced at this time. However, it is known that this is also related to personnel changes at the Ministry of Transport.
The Government also has no specific information about the candidates submitted for appointment as new members of the Government.
Regarding other matters related to personnel work, the Prime Minister assigned the Minister of Home Affairs to preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to prepare a Government Report on the handling of cases that have attracted public attention in recent times related to the appointment and promotion of officials, asset declaration, and the handling of cases of violations and Party discipline.
2 Ministers jointly present special mechanism for Ho Chi Minh City
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc assigned the Minister of Transport to preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to prepare a Government report on investment policies for the construction of a number of expressway sections on the Eastern North-South route.
The Minister of Education and Training shall preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to prepare a Report on the postponement of the implementation of the new general education program and textbooks in Resolution No. 88/2014/QH13 dated November 28, 2014 of the National Assembly on innovation of general education programs and textbooks.
The Minister of Planning and Investment shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to prepare the Government's Report on the results of the implementation of the allocation of the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2016 - 2020; the Government's Report on the implementation of the public investment plan in 2017 and the expected public investment plan in 2018.
The Minister of Finance presides over and coordinates with the Minister of Planning and Investment, relevant ministries and agencies and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to prepare a Resolution on mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City.
