Prime Minister of the Republic of Türkiye begins official visit to Vietnam

On the evening of August 22, Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Binali Yildirim arrived in Hanoi, starting an official visit to Vietnam from August 22-24, at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

The official delegation includes: Mr. Binali Yıldırım, Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey; Mr. Mehmet Simsek, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Türkiye; Mr. Recep Akdag, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey; Mr. Faruk Ozlu, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology; Mr. Nihat Zeybekci, Minister of Economy; Mr. Bulent Tufenkci, Minister of Customs and Trade.

The delegation included Mr. Akif Ayhan, Ambassador of Türkiye in Hanoi; Mr. Ahmet Yıldız, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Kerim Uras, Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs; Mr. Sinan Ulker, Advisor to the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Türkiye Binali Yildirim, born December 20, 1955, in Erzincan province, Türkiye; Master's degree, Maritime School, Istanbul Technical University.

From November 2002 to present, he has been a member of the National Assembly. From November 2002 to December 2013, he was Minister of Transport. From November 2015 to May 2016, he was Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications. From May 2015 to May 2017, he was Chairman of the Justice and Development Party. From May 2016 to present, he is Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey. From May 2017 to present, he is Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Justice and Development Party.

The official visit to Vietnam of Prime Minister of the Republic of Türkiye Binali Yildirim aims to develop multifaceted relations between the two countries.

The visit is also an opportunity for the two sides to discuss measures to promote and deepen cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade-investment, science-technology, transportation, education-training and other fields; and discuss regional and international issues of mutual concern./.
