The Prime Minister attends the ASEAN Summit in Brunei.

At the invitation of the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, on April 24, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung led the Vietnamese delegation from Hanoi to Brunei to attend the 22nd ASEAN Summit.

The delegation included Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of ASEAN SOM Pham Quang Vinh, Vietnamese Ambassador to Brunei Nguyen Truong Giang, and an Assistant to the Prime Minister.

With the theme "Our People, Our Future," this conference will focus on promoting cooperation, building the ASEAN Community, strengthening intra-ASEAN linkages, cooperation between ASEAN and its partners, as well as exchanging views on regional and international issues of common concern.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and the Vietnamese delegation are attending these conferences with a spirit of "proactiveness, enthusiasm, and responsibility," continuing to build on the positive results achieved in the past, and together with ASEAN countries and ASEAN Chair Brunei, contributing to the overall success of the Summit.
