The prestigious Forbes magazine has published its list of the 100 most powerful women in the world for 2015. German Chancellor Angela Merkel remains at the top of the list.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Chancellor Angela Merkel has topped the list of the world's 100 most powerful women. In second place is US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Last year, Clinton ranked sixth.
The next positions are held by Melinda Gates, wife of billionaire Bill Gates, and Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen. Also in the top 10 of Forbes' list are International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, and U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama.
Forbes magazine's list of the 100 most powerful and influential women in the world has been compiled since 2004. Their fame is determined by their media presence and influence in various aspects of life.
