Prime Minister meets 10 outstanding young Vietnamese faces of 2016
On the morning of March 19, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met and talked with 10 outstanding young Vietnamese faces and 10 promising young faces of 2016.

This meeting is part of the awarding and commendation program for 10 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces of 2016 - an award organized annually by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Young Talent Support Fund.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised the achievements of the young people and listened to First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Le Quoc Phong briefly report on the activities celebrating the 86th anniversary of the Union's founding, and introduce the achievements of the 10 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces of 2016.
Those young faces are: Dinh Thi Huong Thao (born in 1998, University of Natural Sciences - Hanoi National University); Tran Xuan Bach (born in 1984, Institute of Preventive Medicine and Public Health Training (Hanoi Medical University)); Dao Xuan Hoang (born in 1982, Director of Early Start Joint Stock Company); Ta Dinh Huy (born in 1983, Thuong Vuc commune, Chuong My, Hanoi); Giang Seo Chau (born in 1986, Mong ethnic group, Man Than commune, Si Ma Cai district, Lao Cai); Hoang Anh Tuan (born in 1981, Traffic Police Department, Bac Giang Provincial Police); Le Kiem Son (born in 1985, Drug and Crime Prevention, Ha Tinh Border Guard Command); Hoang Anh Tuan (born in 1982, Director of Viet Hung Plastics Company Limited); Le Van Cong (born in 1984, Tan Binh District Culture - Sports Center, Ho Chi Minh City); Tran Le Quang Tien (born 2002, Vietnam National Academy of Music).
On the occasion of meeting the Prime Minister and leaders of central ministries, departments and branches, outstanding young people from many fields of study, labor - production, scientific research, security - defense, culture, sports... expressed their thoughts and aspirations.
Mr. Dao Xuan Hoang - owner of Early Start, commented on the current startup situation of young people in Vietnam, especially in the field of information technology. He believes that many young people are still passive and have not found the right direction while their path is still too new, so there needs to be orientation and sharing of experiences with each other.

Meanwhile, Dr. and Associate Professor Tran Xuan Bach (Hanoi Medical University) shared that he and his colleagues are looking forward to a project to enhance the value of diagnosis and treatment in medicine by combining electronics and information technology. Mr. Bach proposed that the Government invest more in e-health, and that the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Ministry of Science and Technology can cooperate with investors and businesses to implement these potential medical research topics.
Dinh Thi Huong Thao - a student of the Physics Department of the University of Science - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is a two-time Gold Medalist at the International Physics Olympiad. Thao feels that she has not contributed much to society other than studying well. She wants to have the opportunity to contribute to the country when she has accumulated a lot of knowledge. Thao also said that she is participating in a summer camp model to impart knowledge and exchange information between Vietnamese students at home and abroad, in order to promote the learning spirit of young people.
Mr. Giang Seo Chau - Chairman of Man Than commune, Si Ma Cai district, Lao Cai presented the local agricultural economic model that he is directing the implementation. The concern of the Chairman born in 1986 is that high-quality agricultural products have been created but the output for the products is not stable, and there is no connection with consuming enterprises. He hopes that the Government will have a policy to plan for specialized agricultural development in remote areas such as Si Ma Cai district, helping farmers escape poverty.
“Inventor without a degree” Ta Dinh Huy, Chuong My district, expressed his hope that his “15 in 1” machine and other inventions by people will have the opportunity to be developed and replicated to help farmers reduce their hardship.
Le Van Cong - disabled athlete and Ms. Do Thuy Ha - President of the Association of the Blind in Dong Da District, Hanoi, share the same wish that the Government will have policies to help people with disabilities integrate, be treated equally and have appropriate policies for people with disabilities.
Violin prodigy Tran Le Quang Tien wants classical music to have a chance to develop more strongly in Vietnam and there to be scholarships for young artists to study in countries with European classical music.

After many comments from 10 Outstanding Young Faces and 10 Promising Young Faces, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked representatives of ministries such as the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Planning and Investment to respond to the proposals and wishes of the youth.
A representative of the Ministry of Education and Training said that the Ministry is developing a project to support start-ups in schools, first at universities, then at high schools. This project will be submitted to the Government as soon as possible. A representative of the Ministry of Education and Training praised: "Young people have made not only tangible contributions but also intangible contributions, valuable in affirming the intelligence and spirit of Vietnamese people in the world."
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc commented: “You are all intelligent, talented, brave; you are also determined, passionate, creative, and eager to learn. You also want to contribute to your family, society, and country. Your products and thoughts are very practical and necessary for social life.
Through this, we realize that university is not the only path, disability is not the end. You are very touching examples. Vietnamese youth will look at you and learn. The Government believes that you will have the aspiration to rise even stronger to shine the title that has been recognized by society today."
The Prime Minister requested Ministries, Branches, localities and Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union branches across the country to create conditions for Outstanding Young Faces to strive, study, work and develop their full potential. At the same time, the Prime Minister also assigned the Youth Union to continue to honor, support and create conditions for young people to start businesses; to propagate and introduce good people, good deeds and intelligence to the public, so that young people can learn, follow their example, overcome difficulties, and at the same time apply and replicate good models and practices.
