Prime Minister: Preserve and absolutely protect Uncle Ho's body for a long time

The Prime Minister requested the Mausoleum Management Board to learn from experience and move towards fully mastering the task of long-term preservation and absolute safety protection of Uncle Ho's body.

This morning (August 12), Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended the ceremony to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the tradition and receive the Second Class Independence Medal from the Management Board of President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (August 14, 1976 and August 14, 2016).

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc stated that the task of preserving and protecting the absolute safety of Uncle Ho's body and the mausoleum is the responsibility of the entire political system, demonstrating the special affection of the people of the whole country for Uncle Ho, and is an act of profound political and cultural significance. This is a glorious, sacred, and very proud task of the Management Board.

The Prime Minister also commended generations of cadres, soldiers and workers of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board over the past 40 years for their great efforts and excellent completion of the special political task assigned by the Party, State and people, preserving and protecting the absolute safety of Uncle Ho's body and organizing a thoughtful and solemn reception for millions of compatriots, comrades, soldiers nationwide and international visitors who came to visit Uncle Ho.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Party, State and people, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the valuable assistance of the Government and people of the former Soviet Union, the current Russian Federation and Russian scientists in the task of preserving the body of President Ho Chi Minh for a long time.

Regarding the upcoming tasks, the Prime Minister requested the Management Board of President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum to regularly grasp the Party's political and military guidelines on the task of preserving and protecting Uncle Ho's body for the long term and promoting the political and cultural significance of the Mausoleum in the new period.

The Prime Minister requested the Mausoleum Management Board to focus on doing a good job of political and ideological education, so that each cadre, soldier and worker feels the honor and pride of working at Uncle Ho's Mausoleum; to be absolutely loyal, attached and devoted to the sacred and noble task assigned; to do a good job of selection and training so that the cadres, soldiers and workers have enough qualities, capacity and intelligence to meet the requirements of the task.

The Prime Minister requested the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board to focus on implementing well the tasks assigned by the Prime Minister regarding leading the implementation of the task of long-term preservation, absolute protection of the safety of President Ho Chi Minh's body and promoting the political and cultural significance of the Mausoleum in the new period.

The Prime Minister also noted that the Mausoleum Management Board should best perform its tasks of managing, operating, and effectively exploiting the technical equipment system of the Mausoleum and related works, ensuring it is always solemn, clean, and beautiful, tightening, regularly improving, and enhancing the quality of welcoming compatriots, comrades, and foreign guests to visit Uncle Ho.

In addition, the Prime Minister requested the Mausoleum Management Board to promote patriotic emulation movements, emulate to win, and take care to build clean and strong Party organizations.

Building a comprehensively strong Mausoleum Management Board, effectively implementing the Politburo's Directive on promoting studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.

At the same time, we take better care of the material and spiritual life of the officers, soldiers, employees and workers of the Management Board, closely coordinate with the forces in the Ba Dinh historical and cultural relic cluster, government agencies and local people in organizing the implementation of assigned tasks, ensuring that the area and our management board are performing their tasks in safety, security, civilization and order.

According to Major General Nguyen Van Cuong, Head of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board, the greatest and consistent success is that no matter the circumstances, the unit always preserves Uncle Ho's body in the best condition.

Since April 1995, the unit has been in charge of preserving Uncle Ho's body. Since 2004, the unit has coordinated with Russian experts to successfully prepare 13 times a special solution to preserve Uncle Ho's body.

In addition, the Mausoleum Management Board has organized well to welcome people and tourists to visit Uncle Ho. In recent years, the number of visitors has increased, sometimes reaching more than 30,000 people. On average, there are more than 2 million visitors each year, of which the number of international visitors has increased sharply. Since the Mausoleum opened, it has welcomed more than 52 million visitors to visit Uncle Ho, including 8.5 million foreign visitors.

Major General Nguyen Van Cuong affirmed that the Mausoleum Management Board will continue to strive to excellently fulfill its assigned tasks: Preserving and protecting the body of President Ho Chi Minh for a long time, so that the Mausoleum will forever be a sacred place, a sacred space of the nation, a place that contributes to fostering and fostering patriotism./.
