According to RIA Novosti, in a report to the President of the European Council, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban expressed concerns about the future of the conflict in Ukraine.

“The next two months on the front lines in Ukraine will be more dramatic than ever” – El Pais newspaper quoted documents from private sources.

El Pais said the Hungarian Prime Minister believes that there is now a high possibility that ceasefire proposals will be received more favorably.

The drama that Prime Minister Orban mentioned coincides with the time frame that Secretary of State Antony Blinken mentioned on July 10, when he said the transfer of F-16 fighter jets from Denmark and the Netherlands to Ukraine was underway. The planes will fly over Ukraine this summer.

In a joint statement by the leaders of the United States, the Netherlands and Denmark, the allies intend to provide Ukraine with F-16 squadrons and the alliance will help maintain, arm and train pilots for them.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto told CNN on July 10 that the conflict in Ukraine cannot end on the battlefield and weapons provided by Western countries will not help Kiev turn the situation around.

“What we see is that this conflict has no solution on the battlefield,” the Hungarian foreign minister said, noting that all the weapons supplied to Ukraine, worth billions of dollars, have not helped the Ukrainian Armed Forces gain an advantage.

Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban visited Moscow on July 5 and met with Russian President Putin. Immediately after that, he traveled to Beijing. Mr. Orban called his visit to Russia and China a "mission of peace".

Leader Orban believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping will negotiate peace between Moscow and Kiev by the end of this year.
