Israeli Prime Minister to Award Medal of Honor to President Trump
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu will award President Trump the Medal of Honor for his efforts to rescue hostages.

According to RIA Novosti on October 13, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will award the Medal of Honor to US President Donald Trump for his efforts to rescue hostages.
Thousands of Israelis gathered in central Tel Aviv on October 13 to await the release of those held hostage in the Gaza Strip after more than two years.
Relatives of the hostages are now gathering at the Reim base in southern Israel, where the hostages will be taken after their release, state television reported.
The same morning, the Hamas movement announced a list of 20 hostages to be released under the peace agreement.
Previously, on October 9, President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Hamas had reached an agreement to implement the first phase of a peace plan to resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
In the first phase, Hamas would release Israeli hostages, and Israel would withdraw to an agreed line inside the Gaza Strip and free hundreds of Palestinians, including those sentenced to life in prison for terrorism.
President Trump's Gaza peace plan, released on September 29, includes 20 points and calls for an immediate ceasefire, provided that hostages are released within 72 hours.
The plan also proposes that Hamas and other armed groups would not be involved in the governance of the Gaza Strip, either directly or indirectly, and that control would instead be transferred to an internationally supervised technocratic body headed by President Trump himself.
