Malaysia is one of the countries that exports a lot of medical gloves, catheters used in the medical industry and condoms. In 2017, rubber gloves accounted for 73.2% of rubber exports in Malaysia.
For Mahathir Mohamad, the rubber industry contributes significantly not only to “the country’s economy but also to all of humanity.”
The rubber industry has continued to evolve, producing new products ranging from rubber tires to surgical gloves, to helping reduce earthquake shocks in buildings.
Not to mention the importance of condoms in family planning. Just imagine a world without condoms! Without this contraceptive, the world today would not have 7 billion people but 10 billion. Mr. Mahathir Mohamad's joke brought a lot of laughter to the delegates.
It is known that the conference started on September 4 and lasted for 3 days, attracting 14 countries to exhibit products with 800 participants. This event is expected to attract more than 10,000 participants.
