Prime Minister dismisses Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ho Thi Kim Thoa
The Prime Minister dismissed Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thoa from the position of Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.
In Decision 1203/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister dismissed Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thoa from the position of Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.
The specific tasks of Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thoa were assigned by the Minister of Industry and Trade.
On August 8, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Secretariat met under the chairmanship of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
After considering the proposal of the Central Inspection Commission (No. 87-BC/UBKTTW, dated August 4, 2017) and the opinions of relevant agencies on the disciplinary action against Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thoa, member of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; based on Regulation No. 260-QD/TW, dated October 2, 2009 of the Politburo on the removal of positions, dismissal, and resignation of officials, the Secretariat decided to dismiss the position of member of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and proposed the Prime Minister to dismiss Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thoa from the position of Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade.

Previously, at the 16th session, the Central Inspection Commission reviewed the violations and shortcomings of Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thoa during her tenure as Party Secretary, Director of Dien Quang Lamp Company, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Dien Quang Lamp Joint Stock Company (from January 2004 to May 2010) as concluded at the 15th session of the Central Inspection Commission.
The Central Inspection Committee found that the violations and shortcomings of Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thoa were serious.
Pursuant to Regulation No. 181-QD/TW of the Politburo on disciplinary action against violating Party members, the Central Inspection Committee decided to issue a warning to Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thoa.
Pursuant to Regulation No. 260-QD/TW of the Politburo, the Central Inspection Committee recommends that competent authorities consider dismissing Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thoa from her current positions./.
