On the afternoon of April 23, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received Sri Lankan Minister of Justice Rauff Hakeem, who was visiting and working in Vietnam.

Welcoming Minister Rauff Hakeem's visit and working trip to Vietnam, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung highly appreciated the results of the talks between Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong and Minister Rauff Hakeem; and emphasized that as a friend of Sri Lanka, Vietnam is pleased with the achievements Sri Lanka has made in national construction and development, and hopes that both sides will work together to further deepen, strengthen, and make more effective the multifaceted bilateral cooperation for the benefit and common development of both countries.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung thanked Sri Lanka for recognizing Vietnam as a full market economy and supporting Vietnam's candidacy for the United Nations Human Rights Council. He expressed his hope that the two sides would continue to support each other in multilateral forums, especially at the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement. In addition, the Prime Minister proposed that the two sides further promote cooperation in economics, trade, investment, education and training, and culture.
The Vietnamese government has always supported judicial cooperation between the two countries, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung affirmed.
