In the context of Covid-19 infections in the community in Ho Chi Minh City, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said he has directed measures with the spirit of "Fast, faster/ More drastic, more drastic".

This morning, December 2, at the Government headquarters,Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phucchaired the regular Government meeting in November, assessing the implementation of socio-economic tasks in 11 months. The Prime Minister said that November is a month with many important events and issues of the country such as socio-economic, foreign affairs, natural disasters and floods, and the Government has comprehensively directed all issues with a proactive, responsible and highly effective spirit. Notably, this year, the economy is still likely to achieve growth of 2.5-3%, and the budget revenue is more positive than the level reported to the National Assembly. According to the report of the Ministry of Finance, it is estimated that in 2020, the revenue will be 1,380 trillion VND, equal to 91.3% of the estimate, higher than the level reported to the National Assembly of 86%.

In November, the Government reported and submitted 74 documents to the National Assembly and the National Assembly issued many important Resolutions, including the Resolution on the Socio-Economic Development Plan for 2021. At the 10th session of the National Assembly, the National Assembly also passed a resolution approving 3 members of the Government: the Minister of Science and Technology, the Minister of Health and the Governor of the State Bank.

In answering questions and discussing before the National Assembly, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc highly appreciated the Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers for upholding their sense of responsibility, answering many issues clearly and deeply, demonstrating a firm grasp of issues within their management scope.

In November, in the context of many important international events, Vietnam, as the ASEAN Chair 2020, with international responsibility, participated and made important contributions. At the 37th ASEAN Summit and related conferences, under the chairmanship of Vietnam in its role as ASEAN Chair 2020, countries adopted 84 documents, the largest number of documents in an ASEAN summit ever, including many cooperation contents that bring national interests and are highly supported and agreed upon by ASEAN countries. In addition, under the "steering" of Vietnam, the 37th ASEAN Summit also had an important success when 15 countries concluded negotiations and signed the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. This is an important agreement with the population of the countries participating in this agreement reaching 2.2 billion people.

In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and localities also mobilized a large amount of social resources to support the people of the Central region who have experienced 9 consecutive storms, including super storms and historic heavy rains. Up to now, the work of overcoming the consequences has been initially carried out, gradually stabilizing the lives of people in disaster areas.

Disease prevention and control measures are extremely important when many important events of the country are about to take place, such as the National Patriotic Emulation Congress and the 13th National Party Congress.

Regarding socio-economic issues, the Prime Minister emphasized continuing to improve the investment and business environment, making every effort to achieve the best results in December. At the end of December, the Government will hold a National Socio-Economic Conference to review the implementation of tasks in 2020. Ministries and sectors must uphold their sense of responsibility in contributing their opinions to the Government's Draft Resolution 01./.
