Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc arrives in Tokyo, beginning visit to Japan

This afternoon, the Prime Minister will receive the Governor of Ibaraki Prefecture, visit and talk with officials and staff of the Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community.

On the afternoon of June 4 (local time), the plane carrying Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived at Haneda International Airport, Tokyo. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation began an official visit to Japan and attended the 23rd Conference on the Future of Asia.

Welcoming the Prime Minister at the airport were Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Kunio Umeda and his wife, Japanese Parliamentarian - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kiyoshi Odawara and officials of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Quoc Cuong and his wife, officials and staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Japan.

According to the working program, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will hold talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, meet with the King and Queen of Japan, have meetings with leaders of the National Assembly, the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Union, key political parties, and several localities of Japan; and receive business leaders and economic cooperation organizations.

It is expected that this afternoon, the Prime Minister will receive the Governor of Ibaraki province, visit and talk with officials and staff of the Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Japan.

Tomorrow, the Prime Minister will attend and speak at the opening ceremony of the 23rd Future of Asia Conference and the investment promotion conference as well as witness the signing of a number of cooperation documents between Vietnamese and Japanese companies./.
