Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc: There must be a resolution on the vaccination process today

Morning of February 24,Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phucgave strong instructions on the vaccine issue in a meeting with the National Steering Committee and ministries, departments, branches and localities on the Covid-19 epidemic situation.

According to the Prime Minister, nearly 200,000 doses of vaccine have arrived in Vietnam for people to be vaccinated. "Hopefully in the coming time,Vaccinewill arrive in larger quantities, to vaccinate people in time," the Prime Minister shared.

At the same time, the Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Health, together with the Government Office, to immediately draft a Resolution today on the vaccination process and the order of vaccination for each subject to submit to the Prime Minister for immediate signature and promulgation.

The head of the Government said that Vietnam has a population of about 100 million, so the order of priority must be careful. Priority must be given to high-risk subjects before low-risk subjects... According to him, the top priority is medical staff, testing and sampling staff, border guards, tracing and zoning forces, and voluntary anti-epidemic forces.

“The spirit is to ensure enough vaccines for the people, but when there is not enough, vaccination must be carried out in order of priority subjects,” the Prime Minister directed.

Earlier, concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised the National Steering Committee, the Ministry of Health, and localities for their active efforts in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic. Thereby, 11/13 provinces with the epidemic were controlled, with only two provinces having new infections.

The Prime Minister also commended many outstanding individuals in the fight against the epidemic, typically Doctor, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son.

The Prime Minister agreed with the proposal of Hanoi and Hai Phong on socializing the purchase of vaccines.

There needs to be a process for consuming goods in epidemic areas.

In particular, the Prime Minister welcomed many localities' timely direction to ensure production and business in implementing the dual goals.

The Head of Government highly appreciated the provinces of Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi... for strictly handling cases of intentional violations of epidemic prevention and control regulations.

The Prime Minister specifically requested localities to continue to effectively implement economic development, coupled with epidemic prevention and control.

Request the three provinces of Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, and Hai Phong to continue measures to circulate goods, not block rivers and prohibit markets.

The Prime Minister also assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to promptly issue procedures for the consumption of goods in epidemic areas. The Chairman and leaders of localities were assigned to take specific measures to control the epidemic, while proactively promoting production and business. The Government, the Steering Committee, and the Ministry of Health did not intervene deeply in this matter.

The Ministry of Education and Training supports localities to promote online learning and teaching.

The Ministries of National Defense, Public Security, Health, etc. must prepare quarantine areas as required, and resolutely prevent infections from occurring in quarantine areas.

The Army, Border Guard, and Police forces continue to strengthen direction and strictly manage people entering and exiting the country, especially illegal entry, to prevent the spread of disease in the community.

The Prime Minister directed that rescue flights must strictly follow epidemic prevention and control procedures and quarantine procedures./.
