Within the framework of the official visit to the Russian Federation, on the occasion of the 126th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2016), on May 19, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Government laid a wreath and planted a memorial tree at the Ho Chi Minh Monument in Moscow, the Russian Federation.

Also attending the flower-laying ceremony were Vietnamese Ambassador to the Russian Federation Nguyen Thanh Son, along with officials and staff of the Embassy, ​​representatives of the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association, and students of High School 282, where many Vietnamese children study.

The flower-laying ceremony at the Uncle Ho Monument took place in a solemn and emotional atmosphere with the presence of an Honor Guard of soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army studying and working in Russia.

After the flower-laying ceremony, witnessed by members of the delegation, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc planted a memorial pine tree behind the Uncle Ho Statue.

The friendly and emotional activities of the Vietnamese delegation with Russian veterans took place with the singing of the national anthems of the two countries by Vietnamese and Russian students.

On the afternoon of May 19, Vietnam time, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Government left Moscow, successfully concluding the official visit to the Russian Federation at the invitation of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, to head to Sochi to attend the Summit to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the ASEAN-Russia Dialogue Relations.

In Moscow, during his visit, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had important talks with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Afterwards, the two leaders witnessed the signing of eight cooperation documents between the two countries. During the visit, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met with Chairman of the Russian State Duma Sergei Naryshkin and Chairwoman of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko.

Also in Moscow, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc received the Veterans Association and the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association and the Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.

During the talks and meetings, in an atmosphere of friendship, trust and mutual understanding, the leaders of the two countries affirmed their determination to strengthen the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, exchanged and agreed on many measures to promote bilateral cooperation to meet the long-term interests of the people of the two countries.

The two sides agreed that it is necessary to make every effort to overcome the decline in bilateral trade, by synchronously implementing measures such as creating favorable conditions for businesses of the two countries in import and export activities, enhancing trade promotion activities, expanding payments in local currencies, and especially taking full advantage of the advantages of the Vietnam - Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement as well as other free trade agreements that Vietnam participates in.

On the occasion of his visit to the Russian Federation, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his delegation laid wreaths at the Monument to the Unknown Soldiers; laid wreaths and visited the Mausoleum of proletarian leader VI Lenin. The Prime Minister visited two major Russian oil and gas corporations, Zarubezneft Oil and Gas Corporation and Zarubezneft.

The Prime Minister attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the TH True Milk investment project in Volokolamsk district, Moscow province; attended the Vietnam-Russia Business Forum. The Prime Minister visited the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation; attended the opening ceremony of the BIDV Representative Office and met and talked with the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation./.
